They will lead you through custom tracks, specially cut through our 750 acre playground of farmland, native bush and great views! It’s an exhilarating Rotorua 4×4 self drive adventure up through the slopes of the iconic and historical, Mount Ngongotaha.
We’ll start your tour with a comprehensive safety briefing and familiarisation in our dedicated training area before heading out. You’ll find our 2-seater 4×4 self drive vehicles intuitive to operate, an absolute blast to drive and super safe. Our guides look forward to hosting your journey and regaling you with local Maori history and amazing facts, whilst exploring the beautiful Mount Ngongotaha countryside & native bush.
One of the best things about exploring the side of a Rotorua mountain is the spectacular views over lake Rotorua and beyond. During your Rotorua 4×4 Self Drive Tour, your experienced guides will pause at the very best vantage points so you can take in the views and swap between eligible drivers. Make sure that you bring your camera with you, because you’ll definitely want to use it.
Safety is paramount. Our 2-seater 4×4 vehicles are super-stable, handle brilliantly off-road and incorporate safety features such as seat-belts and roll cages. Helmets are provided. Our Rotorua tours are a great experience. All drivers must hold a valid driving license for a car (NZ or overseas).
